Obituary for Charles Ray Hill

Charles Ray Hill
Baldwyn – Charles Ray "Charlie" Hill, 81, passed away on February 01, 2019 at Sanctuary Hospice House. He was a mason and member of the Kirkville Lodge and a dual member of the Bay Springs Lodge. He was a York Rite Mason and 32 KCCH Scottish Rite and a member of the Eastern Star. He was owner/ operator of Charles Ray Hill Plumbing and worked with James Howell plumbing. He also enjoyed working for Baldwyn Hardware. He had a special place in his heart for his nieces, nephews and he enjoyed animals and spending his mornings with friends at the Round Table at Agnews. He was a member of Parker’s Chapel Baptist Church.

Funeral services will be held at Waters Funeral Home on Sunday, February 03, 2019 at 3:00 p.m. with Bro. Douglas Kitchens officiating. Burial will be in East Mt. Zion Cemetery.

He is survived by two sisters, Bernice Roberts of Baldwyn and Betty Aguilar (Vince) of Milan, IL; nieces, Pam Roberts of Baldwyn, Honorable Carmen Aguilar Klaczynski (Steve) of Indian Head Park, IL, Shirley Speed (Rick) of Columbus; nephews, Mike Aguilar (Janet) of Bettendorf, IA, Brian Roberts of Baldwyn; several great nieces and nephews and great-great-nieces and nephews; host of other family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Littleton Leroy and Artie Lee Moran Hill; niece, Christy Michael; brother-in-law, Roy Roberts.

Pallbearers will be his nephews, Brian Roberts, Will Roberts, Jimmy Michael, Jason Michael, Justin Michael and Jace Michael.

Honorary pallbearers will be Masons of the Kirkville Lodge and Bay Springs Lodge.

In lieu of flowers the family ask that donations be made to Sanctuary Hospice House or St. Jude Children’s Hospital because of his love for children.

Visitation will be Sunday from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. at Waters Funeral Home.
