Obituary for Chrystine Daniel Ketchum

Chrystine Daniel Ketchum
New Albany- Chrystine Daniel Ketchum ,77, passed away on Friday. April 26, 2019 at the Sanctuary Hospice House. She was born July, 1941 to Marie Bell Williams Daniel and Edd Lee Daniel. She married Lavern Ketchum on July 02, 1965 and moved to Keownville community and made it her home in 1965. She graduated from Jericho High School in 1959, went to Blue Mountain College and enrolled in music for organ and later taught piano lessons in her home. She was an active member of Keownville Baptist Church, where she taught smaller children Sunday School and she was the church organist. She loved to do puzzles and go to auctions after retiring in 2003 from teaching nutrition education in Union County through MS State University.

Funeral services will be Sunday, April 28, 2019 at Keownville Baptist Church at 3:00 p.m. with Bro. Jerry Bishop officiating. Burial will be in the Pleasant Ridge cemetery. Waters Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Lavern Ketchum; nephew, Mike Williams, great-niece, Nicole Williams; great-great-niece, Hensly Smith and great-great-nephew, Caleb Smith.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Jean Owen and an infant sister, Maci Lee Daniel; brother-in-law, Joe Owen.

Visitation will be at the church Sunday from 2:00 – 3:00 p.m.

Her nephews, Mike Williams, Charlie Shelton, Fred Ketchum, Caleb Austin, Greg Ketchum and Steve Bass will serve as pallbearers.
