Obituary for Mable Kitchens

Mable Kitchens
Baldwyn- Mable Kitchens passed in peace, on Saturday, November 03, 2018 at the age of 89. She was born April 14, 1929 to Earl and Lillie Pearl Johnson Guin. She lived her entire life in the Ozark and Kirkville communities of Itawamba County. She married the love of her life, Ruble Dexter Kitchens on November 16. 1946 and after 61 years of marriage he preceded her in death on July 27, 2007. They had one son, Gene Douglas Kitchens.
She loved to work in her garden, flower beds and rake leaves. A loving mother and homemaker, Mable Lois was an excellent cook and enjoyed preparing meals for family and always fed the farm hands lunch when she was able. Mable Lois worked at Mantachie MFG. and retired from Marietta MFG. She had an unwavering faith in God and was a member of Gilmore Chapel Methodist Church. She was very involved in church and was a Sunday School teacher.

Funeral services will be at Waters Funeral Home on Monday, November 05, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. with Bro. Carl Dunlap, Bro. Ray Guin and Bro. Keith Thomas officiating. Burial will follow in the Kirkville Cemetery.
She is survived by her son, Douglas (Sandra) Kitchens; one granddaughter, Julie (Brian) Dickinson; two grandsons, Jason Kitchens and Brent (Shasta) Kitchens; Greatgrandchildren, Jordan (Sara) Dickinson, Madison Dickinson (Alex Hill), Logan Kitchens, Emma Kate Kitchens, Trace Kitchens and Lexi Kitchens; Great-great-grandchildren, Luke Dickinson and Briley Hill; She is also survived by her sister, Bobbie Nell Jamerson and a brother-in-law, Jack Griggs. She has many nieces and nephews along with their families she cherished.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ruble Dexter Kitchens; brothers, Carnuse Guin, Price “Ted” Guin, Jack Guin, Dexter Guin, Beldon Guin and Prentiss Guin; sisters, Valley Guin Nanney, Mary Sue Thomas and Gennie Lou Griggs.

Pallbearers will be Wayne Guin, T.L. Lindsey, Barry Kitchens, Robert Hugh Guin, Randle Guin, Jim Guin, Mickey Pannell and Tilden Guin.

Honorary pallbearers will be the deacon’s of Gilmore Chapel Methodist Church.

Visitation will be Sunday, November 04, 2018 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
